Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love is going to be back on the court soon and he's expected to be back by the Cavs' season opener vs. the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 27. It just might not be tomorrow as expected.
"I do not know for certain," he said in an interview with Fear the Sword. "Hopefully, it's sometime this week. If not, soon after that. It's been a long time coming. I've lost six months-plus now. I feel good. I feel like I'm ready to test my shoulder. But it's something where I want to make sure I'm healthy before I get out there."
Love, of course, is still recovering from surgery to repair his shoulder after injuring it in the first round of the playoffs against the Boston Celtics. There's still over two weeks to go before opening night, so Love missing an extra day or two of practice shouldn't delay him being ready for opening night. If he doesn't practice Saturday, however, it's unclear if he would play on Monday vs. the Memphis Grizzlies.
