The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially announced the signing of center Kendrick Perkins for the rest of the season. The move was announced in a press release.

The move has been expected since the weekend, when Perkins tweeted out that he would be joining the Cavs after completing his buyout with the Utah Jazz. Perkins was traded to Utah from the the Oklahoma City Thunder as a part of a three-team deal ahead of last Thursday's trade deadline.

The Cavs did not announce the financial terms of the deal, but according to ESPN's Marc Stein, Perkins will make $434,547 this season and have a cap number of $274,573.

Perkins, who will wear Dion Waiters' old No. 3 in Cleveland, will be available for tonight's game against the Detroit Pistons.
