Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers: Game preview, start time and television information

The Cavs look to tie the franchise record tonight with a 13th consecutive win.

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Things are going decent for the Cleveland Cavaliers right now.

(Apologies in advance, I'm on enough doctor-ordered cough/sinus meds to get Josh Gordon banned from the NFL for life.)

With a complete dismantling of the Clippers last night, the Cavs have amassed 12 straight wins. They have eight straight wins against the Western conference, and not just the dregs of the West, either. They have been dominating offensively, and playing good-enough-to-great-defense depending on the night, which works when you are the best offense on the planet (during this win streak they have been exactly that, by a wide margin).

The Bulls and Wizards continue to lose, and while the Cavs found themselves sixth in the East standings just one week ago, they are now tied for third, needing a win tonight to push them over the Wizards for outright control of that spot. They sit 2.5 games back of the Raptors, who host an angry Clippers team tonight. Things are definitely looking good in Cleveland.

As for the Pacers? Not as much. They won their last game, but are 3-7 in their last 10. Without Paul George they simply don't have the offensive firepower to compete night in and night out, despite wonderful coaching by Frank Vogel and a still-stingy defense. They are still contending for a playoff spot though, because THE EAST!

Fear The Sword's Fearless Prediction:

Not betting against these guys. It might look like the Sixers or Wolves games, but in the end, the Cavs should be able to run away from this team. 109-90. Let the good times roll.
