For the second straight game, Kevin Love will get the night off. Following an interview on Saturday with espn.com in which he admitted playing with back pain, the Cleveland Cavaliers gave Love the night off in Orlando Sunday night. He will sit tonight in Miami as well.
#Cavs F Kevin Love will get another night off on Monday. Again, just some rest, nothing serious.— Joe Gabriele (@CavsJoeG) March 16, 2015
Hopefully this is no big deal. With the Cavs a full three games up on the Raptors and Bulls for the second seed with just 14 games to go, the Cavs can probably afford to rest Love. Tristan Thompson and Timofey Mozgov weren't great against Orlando last night, but LeBron James and Kyrie Irving were good enough. The Cavs need to make sure Love is right as we get into April and May. He's incredibly important to what they do.
If the Cavs win tonight, awesome. If the Cavs lose tonight, okay, probably no big deal.
