Today is the day LeBron James puts on a uniform and starts to work his way towards a hopeful spot in the NBA Finals. He's been there four years in a row.
Except this year he will be wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform. Telling ESPN's Dave McMenamin that his patience has been tested this season more than any point in his career, James seems at ease, and comfortable. He says the Cavs have a chance to win the whole thing.
I think Cavs fans, somewhat fairly, have held James at arms' length this season. It's hard to get re-invested after all the history. But with the playoffs around, it's all hands on deck. We all want the same thing. Check out the whole interview here.
It'll be interesting to see how James handles the playoffs. Seeing him in the opening game with the Knicks, and then on Christmas Day in Miami was kind of jarring. Here's guessing things get a little better with the spotlight on in the next month or two.
