The Kevin Love issue has been debated ad nauseum this season, and it's not going away anytime soon.
In the meantime, the Cavs are winning playoff games and Kevin Love is a huge factor. In his press conference after the game, he admitted that the corner three he used to sink the Celtics was something he's had to incorporate this year. He's had ups and downs, and is perhaps not completely healthy. Through it all, he's been positive about his experience in Cleveland and with the Cavs.
That didn't change Thursday night.
Love was asked if this is a new season, and about the doubters:
"Well listen, first and foremost, people have focused my whole career on what I couldn't do rather than what I could do. So, I know that my teammates and the coaching staff have my back and I know that the organization has my back, and I'm sending the love right back to them. I think tonight was one of those times where my number was called to step up and hit a big shot."
"I look at it as definitely a new season for myself, but for a lot of different guys because this is our first time going through it."
This is, obviously, great to hear. Winning playoff games is fun. It seems like Kevin Love agrees.
