Facing a 0-2 deficit after two home games, the Hawks got even more bad news this morning.
BREAKING: Kyle Korver is OUT for the remainder of the playoffs with ankle injury.
— Chris Vivlamore (@CVivlamoreAJC) May 23, 2015
The injury occurred on this play, when Cavs guard Matthew Dellavedova fell into his leg going for a loose ball.
Korver, who averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1 block, and 1.4 steals per game in the playoffs, has not had an easy time with Cavs guard Iman Shumpert but his presence will be sorely missed. Without their star floor spacer, and Demarre Carroll suffering through knee troubles, the Hawks are suddenly missing a lot of shooting against a Cavs defense that has been squeezing the life out of them.
We'll see what the Hawks do for game three, but with Mike Scott having a dreadful showing last night, it might mean a huge uptick in time for Shelvin Mack and Kent Bazemore, as going small is about all the Hawks have left.
