Cleveland Cavaliers 2015 Las Vegas Summer League schedule announced

The Cavs' summer league schedule has been fully announced.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will again head to the Las Vegas Summer League in July and on Tuesday, their guaranteed schedule was announced on Tuesday. The Cavs open up play against the Golden State Warriors, the same team that beat the Cavs in the NBA Finals. All times are Pacific:

  • Friday, July 10: Golden State vs. Cleveland, 7 p.m., Thomas & Mack Center
  • Saturday, July 11: Brooklyn vs. Cleveland, 7 p.m., Cox Pavilion
  • Monday, July 13: Cleveland vs. Milwaukee, 1 p.m., Cox Pavilion
From there, summer league breaks off into a seeded tournament that wraps up on July 20. Aside from the Cavs, the Warriors, Nets, Bucks, Bulls, Timberwolves, Lakers, Knicks, Kings, Pelicans, Wizards, 76ers, Jazz, Suns, Mavericks, Spurs, Raptors, Heat, Nuggets, Celtics, Hawks, Rockets, Trail Blazers and a select team of D-Leaguers will play in Las Vegas.

The Cavs' summer league roster figures to look much different than it did last year. Last summer, the team figured 2014  No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, 2013 No. 1 pick Anthony Bennett, Matthew Dellavedova and Joe Harris. With both Wiggins and Bennett now playing for the Minnesota Timberwolvs and Dellavedova not likely for the roster, Harris may be the only Cavalier on the current roster to play in Las Vegas. He will be joined by whomever the Cavaliers select in the first and second rounds of the 2015 NBA Draft and any player the Cavs sign to their summer league roster.

Cavs coach David Blatt coached the Cavs summer league team last year in order to get a better feel for the NBA game, but with a full playoff under his belt, an assistant coach will likely coach the team in Las Vegas.
