A day after David Blatt described Kyrie Irving's recovery from tendinitis as "slow", the Golden State Warriors announced that their star guard Klay Thompson has been cleared to play in the NBA Finals.
OFFICIAL: Klay Thompson has completed the NBA's concussion protocol and has been cleared to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

This is tremendous news for Thompson and the Warriors. Thompson is a long and able defender that shoots threes and can create a bit. He took a big jump this season, and can bury threes in bunches. He presents a difficult matchup for the Cavs if they try and hide Kyrie Irving from the league MVP Steph Curry. The Warriors won 67 games, and the versatility of Thompson was a big part of it.
On a human level, you're just glad that he went through the process and things checked out. This will hopefully be a great NBA Finals. We're missing Kevin Love, and I'd like everyone else to be as capable as possible.
