LeBron James, Kyrie Irving nominated for NBPA Player Awards

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving are amongst the nominees for the first ever NBPA Player Awards.

When the NBA's Player Association hosts its first awarded show in a little over a week, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving will be amongst the players up for awards.

The NBPA announced the award nominees yesterday. LeBron, who the Vice President of the NBPA, was nominated for the 'Clutch Performer', 'Hardest to Guard', 'Player You Secretly Wish Was on Your Team' and 'Most Valuable Player' awards. Irving was nominated for the 'Global Impact Player' award. Here is the full list of nominees:

The first-ever NBPA awards take place on July 19 in Las Vegas and will air on BET on July 21 at 8 p.m. The awards, which will feature a performance from Lil Wayne,  are voted on by players instead of by the media.
