The Cleveland Cavaliers just wanted one shot at the Warriors when they were fully healthy, and their wish might be been granted.
Only it's July.
And it's summer league.
And a win wouldn't get the Cavs any kind of rep, trophy, or legend..... OTHERWISE, THOUGH it's all there. Ok, except for the star players.
That said, the Cavs' and Warriors' young players and roster hopefuls will tip here shortly at the Thomas and Mack Center.
The Cavs team will be led by one man on their NBA roster: guard Joe Harris. It will also feature draft picks Rakeem Christmas and Sir'Dominic Pointer, and hopefuls such as John Shurna, Quinn Cook, Trevor Lacey, Eric Griffin, and Kiefer Sykes, among others.
The Warriors lead with first rounder Kevon Looney, but also include a few familiar faces in Aaron Craft and Matt Stainbrook.
It wouldn't be a Finals win, but maybe they can win the bragging rights at the Jack In The Box down the road.
The game was set for 7:30 local time, but has been held up by the Lakers and Timberwolves.
