The Cavs' summer tour continues today with a game against the Brooklyn Nets. Last night, the Cavs looked like... well they looked like a collection of guys tossed together a few weeks ago.
Today, players from the end of yesterday's bench like Quinn Cook and Eric Griffin hope to get a look, and the guys who did play will hope to be over some of the rough patches they showed last night.
Rakeem Christmas looks to be in a much better place, as instead of guarding the hulking Ognjen Kuzmic he will see a Nets front line that will boast nobody taller than 6'9". Well except for one player, former Cavalier Earl Clark, who is looking to keep his career going with good play in the desert. This Nets team is pretty interesting overall. In addition to Clark they feature former top prospect to undrafted FA Cliff Alexander, and super athletes Markel Brown and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Arinze Onuaku, a fixture on the Cavs' D-League affiliate Canton Charge is also playing for Brooklyn.
The story for the Cavs remains pretty similar to yesterday, in that the roster limits have pretty much ruled out players other than Joe Harris and Rakeem Christmas carrying over from this team to the NBA squad, but a great showing can change that, or at least help find a spot on another team.
Tip off time is 10 pm Eastern , we'll see you then.
