Point guard Mo Williams has come to an agreement with the Cleveland Cavaliers in free agency, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports. Williams is returning to the Cavs, where he once earned an All-Star bid. Before this past season, the most successful team in the team's history had featured LeBron James, Delonte West, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Williams. Williams was a smooth shooting guard who could create some offense and capitalize on spot-ups.

Cavs taxpayer MLE is $3.376M. This has to be part of it. RT @WojYahooNBA: Mo Williams agreed to a two-year, $4.3M deal with Cleveland.

Williams can still create some offense, but his shooting has tailed off in recent years. He still struggles to defend, but given the ability to play off-ball with Kyrie Irving and LeBron James he should get plenty of spot-up opportunities. If the Cavs were looking for a guy with the ability to hit open shots and dribble on the cheap, they could have done a lot worse. More fun, this is a guy that a lot Cavs fans loved to cheer for. He obviously loved his time in Cleveland and was happy to come back.
Let's hope this time the ending is a bit more satisfying.
