The Cleveland Cavaliers have come to an agreement with D-league star Jerrelle Benimon on a training camp deal according to Chris Reichert of Upside & Motor. Benimon played a total of three minutes for the Utah Jazz last season when on a 10-day contract. He also was a member of the Cavs summer league squad, averaging 6.2 points and 7.6 rebounds a game with the team.

Benimon is a 6'8" forward who averaged 19.8 points, 11 rebounds and 4.4 assists in the D-League last season while shooting 61.4 percent from the floor.
It's very unlikely that Benimon receives a spot on the Cavs, given that the team already has 12 guaranteed contracts on the books and two spots earmarked for Tristan Thompson and Sasha Kaun.
Nevertheless, Benimon has shown an ability to be a very productive player in the D-League and very well could challenge for a roster spot, or endear himself to the front office should an opportunity open up for a position in the future.
Here is a video of Benimon recording a triple-double in the 2014 D-League season.
