Hello everyone and welcome to today's 'Fear the Newsletter', where we get back in the swing of things after a long break.
If you have questions, concerns or complaints, drop me an e-mail at christopherwmanning@gmail.com.
So, J.R. Smith will play tonight, although it may only be for 12-13 minutes. Per Tyronn Lue, every member of the team will play tonight - giving us our first real look at the entire squad. And in better news, tonight is the preseason finale. Real basketball is only a week away!
It's only a guess, but I think Dahntay Jones is on the roster opening night. With Smith back, and McRae on the roster, that might be it for now.
Speaking of opening night, here's a look at the Cavs' championship banner. Isn't it still hard to believe that the Cavs won it all? And that the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals?
If you're looking for a podcast to listen to, check out 'Locked on Cavaliers', a Cavs podcast in the 'Locked on Podcast' network. It's hosted by me and you can subscribe on iTunes, Stitcher and AudioBoom. Also follow the show on Twitter @LockedOnCavs and like it on Facebook. Also, drop an e-mail or mailbag question to the show at lockedoncavs@gmail.com.
If you need a sick Cavs or NBA t-shirt, go support FtS' Daniel Rowell over on TeePublic. You may or may not see the header of this newsletter on a t-shirt in his store.
What to read today: Real GM's Colin McGowan on the Jazz, Fangraph's on the greatness of Andrew Miller, the WaPo's Tim Bontemps on the 2013 Draft Class, how jail change Lil Wayne from the Undefeated and four thank you notes to Michelle Obama.
That's it for today. We'll talk to you tomorrow after the preseason finale.
