On Friday night in Toronto, Kyrie Irving was fantastic for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the Cavs’ 94-91 win, Irving led his team with 26 points on 10-23 shooting - including 5-9 from three - to go along with six assists. He also hit a game-winning three with under a minute left in the game to push the Cavs to 2-0.
Irving’s night wasn’t perfect - he did have seven turnovers, only got the line once and played 38 minutes on the first half of a back-to-back - but this was the type of performance he is capable of putting up on a regular basis. Watch this Irving play and compare him to the player who debuted in December last year and spent most of the year working his way back into shape. You’ll see two completely different versions of the same player and the current version is certainly better.
