Fear the Newsletter - December 24, 2016
Hello everyone and welcome to today's 'Fear the Newsletter', where we have a lot to cover.
If you have questions, compliments, concerns or complaints, drop me an e-mail at christopherwmanning@gmail.com. - Chris Manning, Editor at Fear the Sword
As it turns out, J.R. Smith is going to be out a lot longer than we thought. Per a release from the team, Smith will be out 12-14 weeks instead of the originally reported 4-6 weeks. In short, this means that J.R. won't be back until about a month before the playoffs start. For more on this, here's a Locked on Cavs episode from myself and FTS' Trevor Magnotti on Smith's injury.
The Cavs also did play a game last night against the lowly Brooklyn Nets. In an easy win, Kevin Love returned and the Cavs got their star players some rest. Basically, the game went about as well as they could have hoped.
If you're looking for some Cavs-Warriors content, here's a podcast from Locked on Cavs featuring Danny Leroux from Locked on Warriors, the NBA Twitter show, the Sporting News and more. At Fear the Sword, we'll soon have a preview up and a special Warriors-specific links package for your reading pleasure. It'll make for good time killing in-between uncomfortable family conversations.
That's it for today - we'll be back Monday after Christmas Day and the Cavs-Warriors. From everyone at Fear the Sword, Happy Holidays.
