Here's today's Fear the Newsletter, where we will always try to set you up like Kyrie passing to LeBron off the glass.

TALK TO ME: The Cavs had off yesterday and there was no open practice. It was, however, LeBron James' 32nd birthday and the team had a flight to Charlotte. Fun times!

LEGEND HAS IT: Tonight brings us the New Year's Eve gift of Cavs-Hornets. Charlotte has played the Cavs tough in two matchups this year, both Cavs wins in Cleveland. The Hornets are currently the East's No. 4 seed and six games back of the Cavs. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. from the Queen City.

ALL DUE RESPECT: The Celtics beat the Heat last night because of a 52-point performance from Isaiah Thomas. The Warriors won their last game of 2016 against the Mavs. The Spurs bounced back from a slow start to beat the Blazers. The Raptors had off after a back-to-back.

JOB WELL DONE: We celebrated LeBron's birthday with his best dunks. LeBron gave himself an 'F' for his play against the Celtics. And Kyrie Irving isn't hurt.Quick programming note: We will have a newsletter tomorrow, Locked on Cavs returns Monday a quick break.

CROWN: Recap UFC 207 with Ariel Helwani and Shaun Al-Shatti's video wrap-up at MMA Fighting. Fox Sports' Andrew Lynch wrote about LeBron's rediscovered three-point shot. The Ringer's Micah Peters on rap's new generation. Ben Fowlkes on Ronda Rousey. Ta-Nehisi Coates' latest at The Atlantic.

That's it for today. Drop your questions, comments and concerns to christopherwmanning@gmail.com and we'll talk to you tomorrow prior the Cavs' NYE party in Charlotte.
