When Kevin Love left the court Wednesday clutching the same shoulder he injured in last year's playoffs, there seemed to be reason to worry. Turns out, Love's injury isn't serious.
After the game, Love's injury was revealed to be a shoulder contusion and he described it as a stinger. Better yet, Love doesn't expected to miss any games due to the injury per ESPN"s Dave McMenamin. That means Love should return a on Jan. 18 when the Cavs play the Chicago Bulls in their first after the All-Star break.
The All-Star break actually comes at a perfect time for Love. Since he wasn't selected as an All-Star by the fans or coaches, he'll have the next week to rest and get his shoulder healthy. In fact, every Cavalier not named LeBron James will get a week of rest before the season ramps back up again.
Prior to being injured, Love played 20 minutes in Cleveland's 120-111 win vs. the Lakers and scored eight points and pulled down six rebounds.
