Fear the Sword is looking to add new writers

New, comments

Want to write for Fear the Sword? Here's how.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

Fear the Sword is looking to add two writers to beef up our coverage of the Cleveland Cavaliers. If you're interested, here's what we're looking for:

  • A writer with strong language skills who can help with game recaps and previews. This is an essential part of the job.
  • A writer who also can contribute features/columns on a semi-regular basis. Ideally, these columns will include at least some research via video and/or stats.
  • A writer who, as needed, can type up Cavs news if and when an editor cannot.
  • A writer who can get work done in a timely manner.
  • A writer who is willing to work with a large staff of writers and create unique content that isn't provided by other blogs and traditional news outlets.

If you're interested or just have a question, contact FtS manager David Zavac at davidzavac@gmail.com and/or Chris Manning at christopherwmanning@gmail.com. For those interested, please note that this is not a paid position.

Please include a minimum of two writing samples, a short explanation of your past writing experience, your Twitter handle and your SB Nation username, if you have one. If your writing sample is not about basketball, that's okay.

Best of luck to all who apply and Go Cavs.
Update, Feb. 4
The last day to apply will be Sunday the sixth. Everyone who applied will be notified of his or her status next week.
