LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers received some good news Thursday when it was announced that James was the KIA NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month award for the month of February.  This marks the second time this season and 30th time in his career that James has been given the award.

The award was announced by the NBA earlier this afternoon.

LeBron averaged 24.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists during February, a month that also saw James move into 15th place on the all time scoring list. Despite LeBron's strong play the Cavs stumbled to an 8-5 record during the month of February but still hold a 2 game lead over Toronto for first place in the Eastern Conference.
