2016 NBA Playoffs: Cavs vs. Pistons schedule set

With the NBA's regular season wrapped up, the schedule for the first round series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons is set.

Here's the full schedule via the NBA:

• Game 1: Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers, Sunday, April 17 at 3 p.m. on ABC
• Game 2: Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers, Wednesday, April 20 at 8 p.m. on TNT
  
• Game 3; Cleveland Cavaliers at Detroit Pistons, Friday April 22 at 7 p.m. on ESPN
• Game 4: Cleveland Cavaliers at Detroit Pistons, Sunday, April 24 at 8:30 p.m. on TNT
• Game 5*: Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers, Tuesday, April 26, time and TV TBD
• Game 6*: Cleveland Cavaliers at Detroit Pistons, Thursday, April 28, time and TV TBD
  
• Game 7*: Cleveland Cavaliers at Detroit Pistons, Saturday, April 30, time and TV TBD

The Cavs don't start until Sunday because the Cleveland Gladiators, an arena league football team, have a home home scheduled for Saturday. The break gives the Cavs' main players several days off before the playoffs begin. It also gives the likes of Iman Shumpert and Mo Williams an extra day to rest and recover.

With the schedule set up as it is, the earliest the Cavs could eliminate the Pistons is on Sunday, April 24. Each game marked with a '*' is a game that will only be played if necessary.
