The Cleveland Cavaliers are officially on the verge of breaking through into the second round of the playoffs. With a win tonight, the Cavs will take a 3-0 series lead vs. the Detroit Pistons and basically secure their place into the next round. It may be a key win, as the Atlanta Hawks could also go up 3-0 tonight in their series against the Boston Celtics.
This game is also a shorter turnaround for the Cavs, as they had just a day off between Wednesday's Game 2 and tonight's Game 3. Interestingly enough, tonight is the first time the Pistons have played a home playoff game in seven years. Game 3 of Cavs vs. Pistons is one of three games today as well. Game 3 of Hawks vs. Celtics tips off at 8 p.m. and Game 3 of San Antonio Spiurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies tips off at 9:30 p.m.
