By most accounts, Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry is current the best player in the world. Curry, of course, has won two straight MVP awards and his style is changing the game in some ways.
Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey, however, seems to disagree and thinks that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James is still the world's best player.
Via James Herbert of CBS Sports:
Dwane Casey: "I feel like LeBron James is the best player in the NBA right now. They didn’t ask me for my vote, so I didn’t give it to ‘em."

This comes right after Raptors guard Kyle Lowrysaid LeBron is the best besides Curry. Lowry's quote came after the Raptors won their Game 7 against the Miami Heat and Lowry was interviewed by ABC's Doris Burke:
LeBron, as he does, tends to take people slighting him very seriously, so maybe this will be another source of motivation for him. But for his part, Casey also played down Lowry's compliment. Per Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal:
"Whoever is making a big deal about that has nothing else to write about," Casey said. "There's nothing but respect in our locker room and our organization for LeBron James. Anybody that thinks anything different or is trying to make anything out of that has nothing else to write about or tweet about or whatever they're doing. The respect that we have for him and the respect I know I have for him and our staff has for him is unprecedented."
Overall, this doesn't matter much. But it's out there.
