Well, well, well. Here we are again. The Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Atlanta Hawks. It seems LeBron James and the Hawks are destined to have run-ins in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Last season looked to be a great opportunity for Atlanta. Kyrie Irving was hobbled, and only played one game in the series. Kevin Love was out, and didn't make an appearance. Atlanta had won over 60 games. Their offense moved the ball with ease. Spurs-lite, the story went.
It didn't go well for the Hawks, though reserve guard Kent Bazemore claimed that the better team had lost. He's a starter now, and the Hawks are healthier. Kyle Korver is ready to go. Paul Millsap is one of the best defenders in the league. DeMarre Carroll is gone, but Thabo Sefalosha is back. The Hawks needed six games to get past the Boston Celtics, but appeared in control for much of that series.
Can Paul Millsap, who has struggled so much against the Cavs, come through? Can Jeff Teague find the form that got him to the All-Star game a season ago? Will Kyle Korver make an impact? How much will Cavs fans hate Kent Bazemore by the time this is through? The Hawks need answers of yes, yes, yes, and a lot on at least three of those questions if they want to win this series.
