Near the end of Game 3, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving left the bench in apparent pain. As he headed to the locker room, Irving had to be helped to the back by a trainer and entered the locker room in pain:
Sincerely hope Kyrie is ok but it does look like he's suffering from extreme heartburn here. Get this man some TUMs! pic.twitter.com/8eJNsSMhH1— Amin Elhassan (@AminESPN) May 22, 2016
Irving, though, just had the wind knocked out of him per Chris Haynes of cleveland.com:
Kyrie Irving says he's fine. Just got the wind knocked out of him.— Chris Haynes (@ChrisBHaynes) May 22, 2016
This is 100 percent good news. Irving took some shots in the lane tonight, but this is something that doesn't affect him at all moving forward. This isn't a repeat of last year where Irving limped off during Game 1 of the NBA Finals after banging knees with Warriors guard Klay Thompson.
Relax, everyone. Kyrie Irving is fine.
