The Cavaliers second round series against the Hawks is over and the Eastern Conference Finals are coming, but before they begin lets look back on an interesting and record breaking series. In honor of Kevin Love, and the TV show he loves so much, we will be using six Game of Thrones quotes to break down all the action from round two.

Cersei Lannister: "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground."
Dan Gilbert and David Griffin seem to have taken the above quote to heart. The deadline deal for Channing Frye cost the team a future first round pick (or at least trading Andy to make space did) and Dan Gilbert's luxury tax bill went way up as a result. Neither blinked an eye though as they know better than most there is no award for second place. Frye was an integral part of the Cavs sweep and looks to have secured a prominent role within the rotation heading into the next round.
Tywin Lannister: "A lion does not concern himself with the opinions of sheep."
LeBron James, the Lion of the NBA, was never suckered into letting Kent Bazemore and company throw him off of his game. Just like the Tywin Lannister LeBron ruthlessly dealt with those looking to tear him down and secured his teams right fight for the eastern conference crown.
Jorah Mormot: "There is a beast in every man and it stirs when you put a sword in his hand"
Jorah must have been talking about Tyronn Lue's use of Kevin Love when he said the above quote. Coach Lue certainly put the sword in Love's hand during game four, and Love let out the beast. Kevin lead the way with 27 points and 13 rebounds in the closeout game of the series. Love has registered a double-double in every playoff game this season and that type of play has the Cavs looking like real contenders for the throne.
Melisandre: "The night is dark and full of terrors"
The Cavaliers three point shooting during round two was terrifying for the Hawks and each night was full of them. Cleveland set an NBA record for most made three-pointers in a four-game playoff series against the Hawks and given how frequently the Cavs were knocking down shots, it's not unreasonable to think the Red God was on the side of the Wine and Gold.
Tywinn Lannister: "The greatest fools are ofttimes more clever than the men who laugh at them"
Heading into the playoffs it was popular to criticize Tyronn Lue for his inconsistent rotations and the teams overall play. I was one of the fools who considered Coach Lue to be a serious roadblock for the Cavs on their quest to usurp the champions crown from the Golden State Warriors. What a fool I was, as Lue coached a masterful series against the Hawks. Lue drew up great plays, employed creative lineups and generally out coached former NBA coach of the year Mike Budenholzer.
Oberyn Martell: "I will be your champion"
These last two series have served notice to the entire NBA the Cavaliers are here for your crowns and titles, they will be your champion.
