Here we come to the end of the line. Unless it's not the end of the line and we meet back up again on Thursday in Cleveland and the Cavs fight once again for their spot in the NBA Finals. Tonight, they face a Warriors team looking to clinch their second consecutive NBA title, and they are doing it at Oracle Arena, a venue known for the boisterous spirit of the hometown fans. They'll face an ornery group of fans, miffed that Draymond Green will be forces to sit this one out due to suspension. And they'll face Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. LeBron James will face Andre Iguodala.
The rest of the Cavs will face the return to an environment in which they really struggled earlier in the series. Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson had rough outings in Games 1 and 2; they'll need to be very good tonight. Draymond Green keys a ton of what the Warriors do defensively, and it will be harder for them to go small, which is where they've separated themselves from the Cavs in the series. The door is open, but not very much. Win tonight, and you have to somehow get back and defend your home court.
But winning tonight isn't some foregone conclusion. The Warriors will be motivated, and angry. The Cavs will have to find some pride.
