According to Matthew Dellavedova, he did not intentionally strike Warriors guard Andre Iguodala below the belt last during Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Here's Dellavdova's quote via Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal:
"I don't really know why they reviewed it. I was just stopping the break. We only had three team fouls, so we weren't in the bonus," Dellavedova said. "I haven't seen that (replay). I was swiping from behind and just tried to grab his arm."
Here's a look at the play in question:
The play resulted in a bit of an argument between two teams with Tristan Thompson pulling Dellavedova away from Iguodala and Iman Shumpert jawing with Iguodala instead. After a review, Dellavedova was called for a common foul and the game resumed.
This certainly won't help Delly's reputation as a dirty player or with how the Warriors look at him. In this case, though, it really looks and seems as if this was just an accident and nothing more.
