Last night during Team USA’s blowout of China during an exhibition game, Raptors guard and American swingman DeMar DeRozan almost threw down an unbelievable 360-degree dunk and so truly inches away from finishing it. And even though he missed it, Team USA’s bench went nuts and Kevin Durant even went onto the court to mimic it from the bench.
This was about as good as Vince Carter jumping over 7’2” Frechman Frederic Weis 15 years ago the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Had he finished it, it may have gone down as one as the best dunks ever.
Like everyone in the arena, LeBron James saw the dunk and had high praise for it. James went as high to say it would have been a top-five dunk of all-time had it gone in:
Man if @DeMar_DeRozan would have made that dunk, would have been top 5 All Time! #USABMNT

Do you agree? Would this dunk have been an all-time great one had it gone in? And for all the crap DeRozan takes, it’s fun to have him on Team USA if he’s going to try to dunk like that.
