Chance the Rapper, Team USA star in new Nike ad

Chance the Rapper and both USA Basketball squads are a pretty elite combination.

In a new Nike ad titled ‘Unlimited Together’ - which is basically a two minute film and part of a larger ‘Unlimited’ campaign - Chance’s original song ‘We the people’ plays as cuts of members of both the men and women’s Olympic teams weave in and out. One of the athletes front and center in the video is Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, who of course is a Nike signature athlete.

The craziest part about this ad is that Chance’s song isn’t a jingle or some random song. The patriotism notes - I mean, he mixed in ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ and the constitution - are on mark for the ad’s intention, but this feels like a Chance song with the gospel elements and the singing/rap combo.
