Team USA has yet to win the gold medal in Rio, but that hasn’t stopped Nike preparing for what most expect to happen.
The Nike Kyrie 2 “Gold Swoosh”, with along with the KD 9 “Gold Swoosh” and LeBron Soldier 10 “Gold Swoosh”, line up with the Americans’ expected place atop the medal stand. Kyrie Irving’s version is pretty simple - red and gold at the only two colors on the shoe - and lives up to the shoe’s name.
The shoe’s swoosh is gold with Irving’s ‘K’ logo and No. 2 on heel also shining. Otherwise, the shoe is a bright red, not unlike the red on the American flag.
The Kyrie 2 “Gold Swoosh” is set to retail for $140, $20 higher than the sneaker’s typical price point. It is set to drop at nike.com on other retailers on Aug. 22, the day after the gold medal game.
