It isn't LeBron James, and it isn't even J.R. Smith, but the Cavs took a step towards completing their roster on Saturday morning. They announced the signing of guard Kay Felder of Oakland University. He was acquired by the Cavs from the Atlanta Hawks after being selected No. 54 overall. As a Detroit native, it's possible that some in the Cleveland front office have been following him since high school.
OFFICIAL: @2kayzero has signed with the Wine & Gold.

We don't have any details of the contract yet, but it seems like a safe bet that Felder will make the team out of training camp. He's just 5'9", but produced against quality competition in college and had a strong Summer League performance. The last 2nd round pick to catch on with the Cavs was Joe Harris who is still in the NBA going into his third season. Might not sound like much, but it is. Here's hoping for Felder.
