Here's today's Fear the Newsletter, where we will always try to set you up like Kyrie passing to LeBron off the glass. And now, with no more random breaks!
TALK TO ME: So, that was rough. The Cavs really lost to the Anthony Davis-less Pelicans despite 49 points from Kyrie Irving, a LeBron James triple-double and a Kevin Love double-double. Not great! The Cavs now have lost five of their last seven.
LEGEND HAS IT: The Cavs have the day off today before playing the Kings Wednesday at home. Considering how many minutes LeBron and company played. Tuesday is probably best used as a rest day.
ALL DUE RESPECT: No Kawhi, no problem for San Antonio. The Clippers took down the Hawks and continue to stay afloat. The Jazz lost a close game to the Thunder. The Rockets couldn't handle Giannis on the road. Dion Waiters ended the Warriors and the Raptors and Celtics had the night off.
JOB WELL DONE: The LeBron 14 gets a proper release this weekend. The Cavs may have lost, but they finished the first half with a great ATO. And in our power rankings, the Cavs are on top as the Wizards continue to rise.
CROWN: FanRag's Zach Harper on Harden and Curry evolving from Nash. Buzzfeed's Ben Smith wrote a NYT op-ed on Buzzfeed's decision to publish that Trump dossier. The Ringer's Danny Chau on Eric Bledsoe being overlooked. VICE's Blake Murphy caught up with Royce White, who is now playing professionally in Canada. And the Step Back's Chris Reichert recapped this year's D-League showcase.
That's it for today. Drop your questions, comments and concerns to christopherwmanning@gmail.com and we'll talk tomorrow prior to Cavs-Kangz.
