NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers at Brooklyn Nets Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

Here's today's Fear the Newsletter, where we will always try to set you up like Kyrie passing to LeBron off the glass.

TALK TO ME: Yesterday was a basic day off for the Cavs. Not much happened, really. Which is probably a good thing.

LEGEND HAS IT: Tonight at the Q, the Cavs face the Nets in a perfect game to get back on track. Brooklyn, in case you weren't aware, is the worst team in the league. Tonight, if the Cavs get what they want, will go smoothly. Here's our preview.

ALL DUE RESPECT: The Spurs, Warriors, Rockets, Clippers, Raptors, Celtics and most every other team in the NBA had last night off. The Jazz, though, did beat the Lakers.

JOB WELL DONE: Kevin Love is an All-Star. And the latest Locked on Cavs podcast covers the most recent games, LeBron's comments on the roster, Carmelo trade rumors and more.

CROWN: Cleveland.com has a story up on Kyle Korver helping Tristan Thompson with his free throws. NY Mag on why electing nine black judges in Alabama matters. The Athens News has a crazy interview with a man who was shot in the face by a shotgun. Sean Highkin's feature for The Athletic on Cristiano Felicio is really, really good.

That's it for today. Drop your questions, comments and concerns to christopherwmanning@gmail.com and we'll talk tomorrow after the Cavs play the Nets.
