Cleveland Cavaliers at Dallas Mavericks: game preview, start time, TV information

The Cavs try for their third win in a row as they travel to Dallas.

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers at Dallas Mavericks Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

It’s been a rough January for the Cavaliers. A 7-7 record to date, including three losses by 12 points or more. They did managed to string together a couple wins against Brooklyn and Oklahoma City over the weekend, but tonight they won’t have the luxury of playing at home again. They have just an 11-9 record away from the Quicken Loans Arena this year, and they’ll be facing a Dallas team that’s won six of their last nine (including an impressive comeback against San Antonio yesterday).

For Dallas, point guards Deron Williams and J.J. Barea are expected to be out, along with big man Andrew Bogut. For the Cavaliers, Kevin Love is expected to be out after suffering from back spasms during the game against Oklahoma City yesterday.

Who? Cleveland Cavaliers (32-14) vs Dallas Mavericks (17-30)

When? 8:30 p.m.

Where? American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX

Broadcast? Fox Sports Ohio, NBA League Pass

Music? Josh Vietti

Fear the Sword’s fearless prediction: The Cavs take down the Mavs, 117-105, giving them their first winning streak during the 2017 calendar year.
