The Canton Charge, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ G-League affiliate, have announced their training camp roster ahead of the 2017-18 season.
Headlining the roster are a few familiar faces. Veteran center Kendrick Perkins, as previously announced, will play for Canton in hopes of resurrecting his NBA career. Two-way contract signees London Perrantes and John Holland (who also played for the Charge last season) are on the roster as well. Additionally, forward Gerald Beverly and guard Mike Williams return to the team after playing for Canton last year.
Also of note are guard Isaac Hamilton and forward JaCorey Williams. Both were signed, and waived, during training camp so the Cavs could retain them as affiliate players. 2017 G-League draft picks Maksym Pustozvonov, Jalen Jones and Gokul Natesan will also be at training camp.
The Charge open up training camp on Tuesday and have a three-way scrimmage with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Grand Rapids Drive next Saturday in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Canton’s roster is as follows:
