Dwyane Wade will miss the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game tonight against the Brooklyn Nets, the team announced. Wade is dealing with a left knee contusion and will join Derrick Rose and Isaiah Thomas on the sideline. It is unclear exactly when Wade suffered the injury:

Per cleveland.com, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said after last night’s game that Wade didn’t play in crunch time because the team was playing today.
“I didn't want to overplay him tonight because we have a back-to-back tomorrow,” Lue said, per cleveland.com. “Once we got the lead and he asked to come out in that third quarter when he got a little winded I tried to keep him on the bench as long as I could. Knowing we have a back-to-back tomorrow, gotta keep him fresh.”
This is a small annoyance for the Cavs, as Wade just played his first game off the bench and is still figuring out how he fits on the team. But there is still a lot of season left, so a night off for Wade really isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
