Derrick Rose is out again on Monday as the Cavaliers face the Knicks, Rose’s old team, in New York. Cavs coach update Rose’s status at the team’s shootaround Monday morning:
Derrick Rose will miss Monday's game against the Knicks because of his left ankle injury, Ty Lue said. Iman Shumpert will continue to start in his place.

When asked about if Rose was out, Lue said “no Rose” and didn’t elaborate further. Rose is dealing with ankle injury that he suffered on Oct. 20 against the Bucks. He recently said he came back too soon form the injury. Monday will mark the seventh game Rose has already missed this season due to injury. He also on a minutes restriction for the entire season.
Iman Shumpert, who has started in place of Rose for the past two games, will start at point guard against the Knicks.
