Derrick Rose hasn’t played in a game since November 7th due to lingering ankle issues. It doesn’t quite seem like he’ll be back any time soon.
Derrick Rose (ankle) will miss at least two more weeks, Ty Lue said.

This is a bummer for Rose, but ultimately probably good news for the Cavaliers. Most minutes he’s been on the floor have been a complete disaster. Rose has a net rating of -12.3 this season, and he’s played over 75 percent of his minutes with LeBron this year.
With the Cavs playing much better without Rose and Isaiah Thomas’ return coming, his rotation spot could and should be in danger when the team is fully healthy. Iman Shumpert has looked better in spot minutes, and Rose’s inability to play a complementary role has been a problem for the Cavs this year.
Pessimistic fans might have thought Rose wouldn’t be able to contribute much this year, but it’s still disappointing he’s not getting a chance to at least play healthy thus far.
In the meantime, the Cavaliers will make due without him with Iman Shumpert in his starting spot.
