According to a press release from the Canton Charge, the Cleveland Cavaliers have recalled center Ante Zizic from the Charge, the Cavs’ G-League affiliate.

Zizic played one game with the Charge, scoring 14 points and pulling down 16 rebounds in 28 minutes against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Monday. It was his first ever G-League appearance. The Charge lost the game 91-78.

For the Charge, Zizic had a chance to play in a way he wouldn’t be able to with the Cavs. Canton ran the offense through him for moments of the game, allowing him to post-up several times and get involved. Considering how he’s looked uncomfortable in his few NBA minutes, it’s probably good for his development to play in a way that’s comfortable for him and allows him to actually get on the court.

For the Cavs, Zizic is playing 4.2 minutes per game in the five games he’s appeared in.

Zizic is unlikely to play with the Cavs with Kevin Love and Channing Frye currently occupying most of the team’s minutes at center, so don’t be surprised if Zizic plays again in the near future.
