After a one-game stint with the Canton Charge in the NBA G-League, it appears that Cavs rookies Cedi Osman and Ante Zizic are set to rejoin the main roster heading into Monday’s tilt with the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Cavs recalled Osman and Zizic after their game against the Long Island Nets, where Osman certainly got his shots up. He went 7-23 while attempting 10 threes (making two) to lead the Charge in scoring at 23 in their loss to Long Island. He also compiled eight rebounds, two assists, four steals, and two blocks in his 39 minutes.
Zizic, for his part, only played 26 minutes, but went 6-10 from the field to finish with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Osman is only averaging five minutes per game in his 11 appearances this season with the Cavaliers, while Zizic is at 3.7 minutes per game in six appearances. This is a smart use of the G-League, and allows the young Cavs to get on the court for meaningful minutes to work on their games.
The Cavs play Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers, and both players should be there to mop up in garbage time if things go really well or really poorly.
