Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Miami Heat player grades

Kevin Love led the way.

NBA: Miami Heat at Cleveland Cavaliers David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Here are player grades for the Cavs’ win over the Heat.

Kevin Love: A

Love thoroughly outplayed Hassan Whiteside and had one of his best offensive performances as a Cavalier. Getting to line helped him get in groove too.

LeBron James: A-

The Heat had no way of stopping James. All that made his night imperfect was being ejected for the first time ever.

Dwyane Wade: B+

Wade finished with a negative +/- against his old team, but he was essential in keeping the team going when LeBron was ejected. He seems settled in his role.

Jae Crowder: C-

Crowder’s struggling a bit again and was invisible in a 20 minute, five foul night. Finding ways to get him in a consistent rhythm is one of the few things the Cavs have not done right during their win streak.

J.R. Smith: C+

A 2-9 three-point shooting night for Smith is rough, but he did at least play fairly well on defense. And, somehow, he had the third best +/- on the team.

Jose Calderon: B-

Calderon continues to just what the the Cavs need him to do, and there’s nothing else the Cavs need from him.

Kyle Korver: A-

Korver was the only Cavs bench player to have a positive plus/minus.

Jeff Green: B

Green was fine in this game, and is at least playing better than Crowder at the moment.

Channing Frye: B-

Frye didn’t hit a three-pointer in this game, but he did rebound fairly well and continues to create some space.
