The Milwaukee Bucks made a splash on Tuesday in acquiring point guard Eric Bledsoe from the Phoenix Suns. If the deal works out, it could make the Bucks another team the Cavs have to contend with in the East.
According to Cavs coach Tyronn Lue, it “It definitely makes them better.”
“He adds a veteran point guard, a guy who plays with pace and can get into the paint, can make the right play,” Lue said during his pregame availability. “He’s been on the cusp of being an All-Star the last three years. He brings a different dimension to their team. He can shoot the basketball, get in the paint, run pick-and-roll and he’s a good defender also. It’s a good pickup for them.”
Bledsoe, especially if he can get back to playing defense like he did when he was with the Clippers, will be the best guard Giannis Antetokounmpo has ever played with. He gives them more length, some added ball handling and another good player on an already solid team. With Antetokounmpo ascending this season, he could help make the Bucks another legit contender for the Cavs’ crown.
