Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Sacramento Kings player grades

LeBron James: very good at basketball!

NBA: Sacramento Kings at Cleveland Cavaliers David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Here are your player grades from the Cleveland Cavaliers win over the Sacramento Kings.

LeBron James: A+

What we are witnessing from LeBron James is hard to comprehend. His extended range was on full-display tonight 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists. While it wouldn’t be a game Russell Westbrook would have been happy with, James was the catalyst for this Cavs win.

Kyle Korver: A

There might not be a Cavs player (not named LeBron) with a higher floor to their performances than Kyle Korver. His mere presence and movement draws so much attention from the defense, that it makes everything so much easier for his teammates. He consistently plays good team defense and knows where to be on the court. The only thing that separates the good games from the great ones is whether or not his shots went down. Tonight they went down.

Jeff Green: A

Another one of the Cavs most consistent players, Jeff Green was a game-changer with 17 points on 6-8 shooting from the floor. High-energy, high-flying play with some pretty good defense.

Kevin Love: B+

It wasn’t Love’s best game from behind the arc, but he played hard throughout the night and still finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Tyronn Lue has seemed to limit his minutes this season and in return, he is competing harder than we’ve seen in three years. As a result, he is having his best season as a Cavalier.

Channing Frye: C+

Solid, but unremarkable game from Frye. He got lost a couple times defensively, but went 2-4 from the field and made a couple nice plays.

J.R. Smith: C+

It’s kind of heartbreaking to see J.R. be so quiet out on the floor. He went 2-7 from the field, but did manage to make an impact with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. When J.R. is rolling he is one of the most entertaining players in the league. Unfortunately those nights don’t seem to come around often anymore.

Dwyane Wade: C

Wade struggled both from the line and with his turnovers, having one of his worst games in awhile.

Jae Crowder: D

Another off game for Crowder. He went 2-6 from the floor, including 0-3 from three and failed to make an impact on the defensive end.

Jose Calderon: D

On the one hand, Calderon didn’t have any turnovers and played his usual game. On the other, he only had one assist and went 0-4 from the field. At least Isaiah Thomas scrimmaged today.
