Iman Shumpert will miss his third consecutive game Saturday as the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Denver Nuggets, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said during his pregame availability. Lue also said he wasn’t sure if Shumpert would be out until after the All-Star break.
Shumpert originally hurt his ankle in the Cavaliers’ Monday win against the Washington Wizards while defending Bradley Beal. He left the game, did not return and left the arena on crutches. He was soon ruled out for the Cavaliers’ Wednesday win against the Indiana Pacers and the Thunder game.
DeAndre Liggins, who missed Thursday’s loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a tooth issue, will start at shooting guard in Shumpert’s place. Jordan McRae started on Thursday.
