DeAndre Liggins got the start at shooting guard Saturday against the Denver Nuggets. in place of the still injured Iman Shumpert. And he made his mark early with this pass to Kyrie Irving.
It’s a simple play - chest pass to set up a layup - but the one Liggins needs to make if he’s going to be effectively.
Beautiful pass. #DefendTheLand pic.twitter.com/vRF6xN2zti

He deserves credit for the read too. When he grabbed the rebound, considering he threw the pass as he still came down, it could have been off or he could have missed the moment to hit Irving instead. But instead, he hit Irving in stride as he was well ahead of the Nuggets’ defense.
