Here's today's Fear the Newsletter, where we will always try to set you up like Kyrie passing to LeBron off the glass.
TALK TO ME: The team had the day off, but news dropped that Kevin Love will miss Tuesday's game after left knee pain flared up after Cavs-Nuggets. That means no Minnesota return for Love and it now seems possible that he'll miss Wednesday's game and All-Star weekend as well.
Two Cavs stories to read: Joe Vardon of cleveland.com first caught up with Chris 'Birdman' Andersen, who wants to help the Cavs still, and then with Iman Shumpert, who says he might not play before the All-Star break even though he wants to.
LEGEND HAS IT: Today's is another (needed) off day for the Cavs. But the team does have practice and media availability, so it's possible we'll hear more about Love and maybe get an update on Iman Shumpert.
ALL DUE RESPECT: The Raptors lost to the Pistons despite leading by as much as 16. The Spurs lost to the Knicks despite Kawhi being really, really good. The Warriors, Wizards, Celtics, Jazz and Rockets all had the night off.
JOB WELL DONE: Derrick Williams looks like he'll be sticking around for more than 10 days. Quinn Cook is shining for the Charge. And LeBron James is part of Nike's new Equality campaign. To come today: a new Locked on Cavs, probably a few other things.
CROWN: FanSided's Jared Dubin on the cluttered Eastern Conference playoff race. From December at, how Charles Oakley helped Jayson Williams overcome addiction. GQ caught up with UFC champ Gody Gardrandt. The New Yorker's Kathryn Schulz' piece 'When things go missing'. Wired on AI being a thread to the middle class.
That's it for today. Drop your questions, comments and concerns to christopherwmanning@gmail.com and we'll talk tomorrow before Cavs-Wolves.
