Fear The Newsletter: Cavs for Mavs, Part II

That and more in today’s newsletter.

NBA: Preseason-Dallas Mavericks at Denver Nuggets Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Here's today's Fear the Newsletter, where we will always try to set you up like Kyrie passing to LeBron off the glass.

TALK TO ME: The Cavs were off Sunday, but it looks as Andrew Bogut is coming to Cleveland. Kay Felder also balled out for the Canton Charge.

LEGEND HAS IT: The Cavs face the Bucks tonight at 7 p.m. It's unclear if LeBron will play due to him contracting strep throat. And if you're looking for a Kyle Korver update, look for that to come at the 10:30 a.m. shootaround.

Deron Williams is also expected to sign with the team Monday. Fun!

ALL DUE RESPECT: The Warriors had the night off. The Spurs picked up an easy win over the Lakers to wrap up a road trip. The Wizards lost to the Jazz on the road. Toronto, with Kyle Lowry again out with a wrist injury, picked up a win over the Blazers. The Celtics picked up a road win against the Pistons. And the Clippers took care of the Hornets in OT with Blake Griffin going off and Chris Paul doing Chris Paul things.

JOB WELL DONE: The Cavs are using size to their advantage. And here's how Deron Williams will help the Cavs.

CROWN: The Oregonian's Mike Richman on Jusuf Nurkic fitting in with the Blazers. The NYT's Glenn Thrush & Michael M. Grynbaum reported on Trump's inability to control Washington media. ESPN's Justin Verrier on the Pellies running out of time to make Boogie Cousins and Anthony Davis work this season. CJR's profile Pamela Colloff, aka the beset writer in Texas. Lastly, Free Darko on Russ for GQ.

That's it for today. Drop your questions, comments and concerns to christopherwmanning@gmail.com and we'll talk tomorrow after tonight's game.
