What happened this week
Sunday, March 5: Canton Charge vs. Westchester Knicks
Against the New York Knicks’ D-League team, the Charge started off their week with a convincing win. In a 120-112 win, Canton tied franchise record with 35 assists. Kay Felder, on assignment from Cleveland, lead the way with 26 points and 10 assists. Eric Moreland added 12 points and 10 rebounds for his 20th double-double of the season.

Wednesday, March 9: Canton Charge at Windy Bulls
Kay Felder, again playing with the Charge, lead Canton to their fifth straight win, a 113-99 victory over the Windy City Bulls. Felder dropped 35 points and also had 5 assists. Eric Moreland came up big as well, as he finished with 11 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 6 blocks. Jonathan Holmes added 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Saturday, March 12: Canton Charge vs. Austin Spurs
After his 10-day deal with the Dallas Mavericks ended and he was not signed to a second contract, Quinn Cook returned to Canton and came off the bench in a 104-101 win. John Holland lead the Charge with 29 points on 9-16 shooting. Kay Felder added 25 points and Cook added 13 points and 3 assists off the bench. Eric Moreland also blocked a franchise record 9 blocks in the Charge’s win.

Sunday, March 13: Canton Charge vs. Rio Grande Valley Vipers
On the same day the Cavs faced the Houston Rockets, the Charge faced the Rockets’ D-League affiliate. Just before the game, the team announced that Felder had been recalled by the Cavs, so Quinn Cook was inserted back into the starting lineup. He finished with 30 points and 9 assists, but also had 7 turnovers. Canton ultimately won by a final score of 120-116 for its seventh straight win. John Holland lead Canton with 36 points, 11 of which came from the free throw line.

Player of the Week
Kay Felder was again really good again this week. And John Holland had two really good performances. But Eric Moreland spent this week making his case for a call-up to the NBA - whether that’s with the Cavs or another team - and filling up the stat sheet.
It doesn’t look as if the Cavs will be calling him up, but he did about everything he could to get on the team’s radar.
